Well this is my first actual writin story about Fiction Land. Well here goes!
The Werewolf
I awoke from my slumber with a start. I got out of bed and took my custom holster from its hook on the ceiling. I took my twin axes from their hooks on opposite sides of the room, and put them in their proper places in my holster.
I walked out of my room, down the bright little hallway to the grand staircase. I slid down the banister which is always fun.
I headed to the wall where all my extravagant armor hung and quickly snapped it on, careful not to miss any piece of armor. I made sure to put my small book of rudimentary spells into my leg pocket that hung on my armor. I quickly snapped my twin laser-guided projectile launchers onto their proper places on my arms. I was ready for a new day in the great Kingdom of Fiction Land!
I opened the grand front door to see my friends waiting for me outside. Jesse the master wizard, Joseph the fire arms specialist, Michael the assassin, and Blaze my dragon. I greeted them and asked what was up. They said they were going for a walk in the woods to town and wanted to know if I wanted to come. I said yes.
The hustle and bustle of city life wasn’t my favorite thing, that’s why I lived in my mansion in the woods, but visiting from time to time is always fun. I told Blaze she could do whatever she wanted while we were gone. She eagerly flew off to enjoy her hard earned day off.
So we started walking through the serine forest taking in the sights. Birds chirping and squirrels running about playing a little game of tag were some of the many sights we were fortunate enough to see. We talked and laughed along the way until we found a small cottage. There was a man waving his arms franticly about and jumping up and down. We ran up to him to see what was wrong. He said a huge werewolf had broken into his house and stole every valuable item he had. He continued with his frantic dance for a while then finally calmed down so we could talk with him some more.
We said we would do all we could to track the werewolf and get his possessions back. We had too. We needed to help this man and we couldn’t let something that dangerous roam freely.
And so the hunt began for the werewolf. I called to Blaze to help me search from the skies. She was reluctant to come back from her day off prematurely but she came anyways. When she arrived Joseph and I climbed into the platform saddle and we lifted into the air. Jesse conjured many clones of himself, while Michael carefully scoured the ground for signs of the wolf.
It didn’t take him long to locate some abnormally large tracks; we knew straight away that it was the werewolf. I took to the skies with Blaze and Joseph in the direction of the large tracks. We searched for a span of time until the keen eyes of Blaze saw a flicker of movement. She dove don towards the canopy, where Joseph and I could get a better look at the creature. It was moving so fast that Blaze had difficulty keeping pace. Michael was leaping from tree to tree, following the werewolf with Jesse running at an unimaginable speed for a human behind him, obviously enhancing his own natural abilities.
The werewolf was heading for a small clearing in the forest. Blaze use every last shred of strength she had to burst ahead and get to the clearing before the beast. Joseph and I jumped off, weapons in hand, ready to intercept the massive monster.
It charged through to the clearing and skidded to a halt in front of us, dropping a brown, cloth sack. We got our first good look at the beast. This was no ordinary werewolf; it seemed more intelligent, cleverer than many others. We were in for a tough one.
Just the Michael and Jesse burst through to the clearing. We had the monster surrounded; the only advantage we had. The wolf charged at me, I threw my axes and caught them with my mind’s hands, and held them in a defensive position. The monster hit them at full speed and pushed me back a few yards.
Michael was next to move, he disappeared in a puff of smoke and appeared behind the creature. He thrust a kunai into the beast’s back and warped back the same way he came. The beast pulled the knife out of himself as if it was nothing, and instantly the wound was healed. Next it charged at Joseph. Jesse was quick to act and put a shield around Joseph. The werewolf rebounded off and lay flat on its back. Jesse pulled a book on mystical creatures from his flowing cloak. He yelled to us that a werewolf could only be defeated by a silver bullet.
The plan was in place. Michael and I would draw the beast’s attention while Jesse would melt down some silver obtained from Joseph’s armor. After it was melted with his magic, he could shape the molten silver into a bullet that would fit one of Joseph’s various firearms.
The beast franticly tried to swat Michael out of the air as he disappeared and appeared all around it. Then Michael appeared much farther away. My show time! I knocked the beast in the head, pummeling it with blows. Then I concentrated very hard on my axes and started to duplicate my axes. Michael took over me while I concentrated. Finally I could materialize the axes, and then I placed them under the control of my legs. Now when I kicked, an axe would swing in the direction of my kick. Michael poofed away again. Slap down time! I stamped one foot forward and an axe shot out of the ground, knocking the wolf into the air. I swung my arms in a circular motion so axes kept hitting the werewolf from underneath it. It lifted higher and higher into the air. When it was a good thirty feet in the air. I did a sort of a cartwheel. All four of my axes came down on the wolf and sent it hurtling to the ground. That should keep it down for awhile.
Awhile later the bullet was almost finished. I was still tired from performing my signature maneuver and Michael was still tired from his part too. Then the wolf stirred. It staggered to its feet, then charged towards us. Michael and I barely had enough strength to stand up; let alone defend ourselves, and we though we were done for. Just then Joseph burst between us and fired a single shot from a small pistol. The bullet hit dead center and the beast fell to the ground. We all breathed a sigh of relief. I grabbed the bag it had dropped before. It contained all the items the man said were stolen. We were too tired to walk back so we caught a ride from Blaze. We flew all the way back to the man’s cottage. He was ecstatic when we brought his possessions back. We said out good byes to the ever thankful man and flew back to the mansion on Blaze. We all took our gear off as fast as possible and went straight to our rooms. Ahh the pillow never felt so soft.
